Created in 2019, SMSA Fontaines Bénies is a co-operative agricultural services company located in Babouche, an underdeveloped village in Northwestern Tunisia with high rates of unemployment and poverty. The 51-member co-op supports a wide range of activities, including drying and distilling aromatic and medicinal plants, goat farming, artisanal cheese making, and production of traditional local foods like harissa and bsisa.
