Want to know the story behind Babycute?

When my daughter was born in 2013, I decided that I did not want to use hazardous plastic bottles to feed her, so I began looking into a way to create safe and healthy baby products. I drew inspiration from a silicone-based product I discovered in Taiwan and decided to develop a new line of baby products with the same material. My years of experience as a computer technician and industrial maintenance worker in factories gave me the technical skills to work on the project. I have always dreamed of being an entrepreneur and completed all the necessary steps to create a business. After a soft launch in 2019, the COVID-19 crisis forced our team to downsize and hire workers seasonally. I heard about the USAID Tunisia JOBS project at an entrepreneurship fair and followed it on social media. After the project announced the COVID-19 Enterprise Recovery Fund, I applied, planning to use the funds to purchase raw material and production chain components that will reduce our reliance on imported produce, as well as to improve our marketing and e-commerce strategy.
