After working at a mechanical engineering company for a year, I left in 2019 to launch Rahma Manufacturing Company (RMC), which specializes in durable tableware products. At first, our shatterproof, competitively-priced products appealed to foodservice professionals. But the COVID-19 crisis changed everything, causing demand to drop dramatically. After struggling for more than a year, we received critical support from the COVID-19 Enterprise Recovery Fund established by the U.S. government as part of the USAID Tunisia JOBS program. As a result, we were able to overcome these hard times!
