After completing a chemistry degree, I decided to follow my passion for cars and pursue a career in auto body work. I dedicated myself to learning the craft and worked in the industry for over a decade. In 2017, I established my own auto-paint shop, and my commitment to using high quality equipment helped me stand out from my competitors. As a result, I was able to expand and open a second workshop with two additional staff.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic posed an unforeseen challenge to my business in 2020. During this time, the supply of raw materials and protective equipment, such as masks, grew scarce, and priority went to the healthcare sector, forcing me to close my workshops for months.

When I reopened, I received a grant from the COVID-19 Enterprise Recovery Fund established by the US government under its USAID Tunisia JOBS program. This allowed me to purchase higher-quality paint material (nano-ceramic paint) that adds additional protection and shine to vehicles. Thanks to this support, my company will be able to attract even more business and create more jobs.
