YOUTH STORIES: Raed Abadi CFA Kasserine

Workforce development / Articles / 18-07-2023

In high school, I was very bored in economics and management classes. I dreamed of learning something different, because I was aware of one fact: manual professions were going to be the leading professions of tomorrow, whether in Tunisia or abroad. So I made a bold decision to go for it. And guess what? I joined the Kasserine Vocational Training Center to obtain my vocational technician's certificate in industrial maintenance.

By taking part in the job fair*, I was aiming to create an attractive CV and practice presenting it in an effective way. There's no better way to understand recruiters' expectations and stand out from the crowd.
I also had the chance to attend three interviews. One of them was with a well-known company in the sanitary plumbing sector in Tunisia. I had the opportunity to talk about my skills, my dreams, and my passion for industrial maintenance. And best of all, they offered me further interviews for a position at their factory in Sfax.
Moving to Sfax doesn't scare me at all. I'm ready to seize this chance to learn and progress in a leading company. Working for this company would enable me to hone my skills in my area of expertise and become a real pro.
I'm convinced that industrial maintenance is a sector for the future, and I'm determined to carve out a solid career for myself. Whether the opportunity in Sfax succeeds or not, I'll continue to train, develop my skills, and look for opportunities to climb the ladder.
