JOBS' achievements: Helping innovative Tunisian start-ups

Assistance to enterprises / Articles / 17-11-2023

Over the last decade, Technology and Innovation (T&I) became one of Tunisia’s fastest-growing economic sectors. Led by a talented young workforce, the growth driven by technology is set to play a key role in gradually improving incomes in Tunisia over the long term.

However, constant brain drain to other countries threatens this potential. The brain drain phenomenon refers to the emigration of skilled and talented individuals, often seeking better opportunities, working conditions, or professional development.

From the beginning of its activities, JOBS has been committed to mitigating the talent outflow by supporting Tunisia start-ups, early-stage technology companies, as well as companies that can take significant leaps in their current business models to become regional and international players. JOBS collaborated with entrepreneurs and companies in a wide range of sectors, such as digital services, financial technology, healthcare, both in medical tech and e-health sectors, manufacturing, and automotive.

JOBS’ technical and financial assistance enabled 125 companies within the Technology and Innovation sector to boost their sales by around $62 million and generate over 3,600 job opportunities.
